The CJM S1 fuel system for the VHR 370z & G37 just evolved! Introducing the S1.E (denoting "external filter"). Due to the popularity of E85 among our customers and frequent inquiries regarding the integration of a Walbro 450 pump to the system, it was time to make some revisions. The new S1.E system offers further improved fuel flow to the engine, superior filtration, full E85 compatibility, and reduced fuel pump module complexity. For our builders seeking the absolute maximum performance from the factory fuel rails, this is the solution.
(Shown with options: Pressure Gauge)
Utilizing our Level 2 fuel pump modification kit, fuel flow improvements begin directly within the fuel pump module. Entirely bypassing the internal fuel filter housing, fuel is pumped directly out the top of the module through a -6AN bulkhead fitting. Returning fuel is brought in through the original output port and plumbed to the venturi jet-pump system by replacing the original pressure regulator with our billet regulator delete fitting kit.
With the internal filter bypassed, it can also be deleted to accommodate the Walbro 450 fuel pump and/or increase surge control volume inside the fuel pump module.
The S1.E plumbing kit is constructed from stainless braided, black PVC coated, PTFE hose with crimped aluminum hose ends. An Aeromotive external filter and CJM no-drill filter mount is included standard. Hoses in the engine bay are secured to the firewall with included cushion clamps. A billet aluminum fitting is included to adapt the regulator output hose to the original fuel feed pipe, re-purposing it as the return line.
Mini Pressure Gauge:
Fuel Pump Type: Let us know which fuel pump you intend to use so that we can send you the proper size PTFE fuel pump output hose with your fuel system. Default is 5/16" for the Walbro 255 and most other fuel pumps with a 5/16" output. 3/8" is for the Walbro 400 or 450 only.
Detailed Photos & Information:
CJM Level 2 Fuel Pump & Return Modification Kit: A section of fuel pump support foam is included to aid your fuel pump installation. A PTFE hose connects the fuel pump output to the CJM -6 bulkhead fitting that is added to the fuel pump module lid, bypassing the factory internal filter. Another PTFE hose returns fuel via the original output bulkhead to the CJM regulator delete fitting assembly, keeping the factory venturi system fully functional.
CJM External Filter Kit: An Aeromotive filter with a 10 micron filter is included, allowing the bypass (and optionally, removal) of the factory filter inside the fuel pump module. A no-drill stainless filter mount is included to secure the filter to the underbody using an existing cover bolt. The filter is secured to the bracket with heavy-duty Nylon cable ties (provided but not shown). The appropriate adapters are included to adapt the filter to the plumbing kit.
CJM 4-Way Fitting Kit: This fitting interfaces with the stock fuel rail inlet tube. Fuel feed is sent directly in through the top, straight into the rail inlet. The rear port feeds the fuel pressure regulator. A stainless NPT plug is included for the front port, but a fuel pressure gauge or sensor can also be installed here.
Regulator Kit: Choose from Fuelab or Aeromotive billet fuel pressure regulators. The necessary adapter fittings are included to interface with the plumbing kit, as well as for installing an (optional) pressure gauge to the unused side port. To emulate the factory fuel system for use with your existing tune, set the fuel pressure to 52psi and do not connect a vacuum line to the regulator. Connect a vacuum/boost reference line for a 1:1 constant pressure ratio.
