Fuel Pump Assembly Compatibility - Not all 370Z / G37 fuel pump assemblies are the same. It is critical to use a genuine Nissan/Aisan assembly (new or used) if you plan to modify it. Aftermarket budget assemblies are not compatible with available upgrade products.
Preferred assembly: 2010+ G37 (part number 17040-1NC0C)
Earlier G37 models: Some share the same assembly as the 350Z / G35 Coupe. These would not be applicable for the retrofit.
370Z assemblies: These can be used but require more effort to install. Note that late 2014+ 370Z units switched to a different connector, which adds a wiring challenge if retaining the stock plastic top hat. When using a the billet hat, it would make no difference which connector was on the core assembly.
Larger Pump Fitment - When using a Walbro 450/525 or other pumps with a larger diameter section, the factory fuel filter must be cut out of the housing for clearance. Because of this modification, a return fuel system with an inline filter is required. CJM S1 kit owners can take advantage of our S1 → S1+ upgrade package to simplify this conversion.
Vehicle Fitment - This retrofit applies to 350Z and G35 Coupes. For G35 Sedans, please contact us directly for guidance.

Scenario A: Stock (Returnless) Fuel System
To drop in a 2010+ G37 pump assembly, all you need is our Z34 Retrofit Adapter (the default item on this catalog page).
The 2010+ G37 pump assembly shares the same electrical connector and regulator pressure setting as the 350Z / G35C. The connector pinout is also a match.
Optional: add our Billet Top Hat Kit for improved reliability — the stock plastic hat is prone to breaking over time.
Pump upgrades: our Fuel Pump Installation Kit (500.2026) allows smaller pump upgrades (e.g. 340 LPH pump with 5/16" barb) while reusing the stock integrated filter and regulator.
⚠️ Important: We do not support using a Walbro 450 or larger pump in this configuration.
Scenario B: Return Fuel System with Stock Plastic Hat
Choose the stock hat installation hardware kit in 5/16" or 3/8" to match your pump’s hose barb size.
The included 6AN bulkhead serves as the pump output. The original plastic SAE quick-disconnect bulkhead is repurposed for the return line.
If installing with our latest CJM S2 fuel system or S1 → S2 upgrade kit, no additional adapters are required.
For other/custom fuel systems, these adapters may be useful:
320.0087 — adapts the engine bay end of the fuel pipe to 6AN.
000.4030 — connects the original fuel hose above the tank to the provided 6AN bulkhead.
320.0086 — connects a 6AN return hose to the stock plastic SAE quick-disconnect bulkhead.
Scenario C: Return Fuel System with CJM Billet Hat
Choose the billet hat installation hardware kit in 5/16" or 3/8" to match your pump’s barb size.
This hardware kit + the billet hat kit provides:
6AN bulkheads for both feed and return.
A QD adapter (from the billet hat kit) to connect the stock fuel pipe to either line.
If installing with our latest CJM S2 fuel system or S1 → S2 upgrade kit, no additional adapters are required.
For other/custom systems, you may use:
320.0087 — adapts the engine bay end of the fuel pipe to 6AN (when reusing the original pipe for feed or return).
Stock Fuel System - When the fuel system receiving the Z34 Retrofit is stock, no optional hardware kit is required to install a (17040-1NC0C) G37 assembly, you only need the basic Z34 Pump Retrofit adapter.
Stock Fuel System + Upgraded Pump - If you will install an upgraded fuel pump to the module being retrofit, but you will retain the stock returnless fuel system: add our 5/16" Fuel Pump Install Kit (500.2026) option to fit a 340lph or similar pump. NOTE: The pump must have 5/16" hose barb and be no larger than about 40mm diameter. This 500.2026 installation kit will not accomodate larger pumps such as the Walbro 450.
Return Fuel System - To use the retrofit with a return fuel system, choose one of our Return Installation Hardware Kits. This selection determines two things: • A) The style of fuel-pump output bulkhead to match the top hat. • B) The size of the fuel-pump hose included.
A) A stock plastic hat requires a flat-panel bulkhead with seal washers and a nut (shown at the top of example photo). A CJM Billet Hat uses our 6AN swivel bulkheads.
B) Most 255–340 LPH pumps use a 5/16" barb, while Walbro 400, 450, and 525 "Hellcat" pumps use a 3/8" barb.
Your return hardware kit selection tells us which style of bulkhead to include, and what size hose your fuel pump needs.
